Sie sind überzeugt von der Notwendigkeit diese bedrohte Rarität in der Deister-

About us:
Members of the CS-
They are convinced by the necessity to protect this threatened rarity in the Deister-
The CS-
The Location Group is the funding body of the reservation (arboretum) which is approx. 1.1 hectares in size.
It is situated on the south hillside of the Deister above the village Nettelrede in close proximity to the town of Bad Münder.
Guidelines of our activities:
Species conservation
Documentation of still existing, regional Süntel-
Establishment of a preferably complete gene archive of regional Süntel-
Rescue individual specimens threatened by extinction with the help of vegetative reproduction methods.
Generative reproduction of the “pure” Süntel-
Maintenance and long-
Keeping of a cultivation nursery with seedlings for the documented propagation of existing trees.
Scientific care and supervision
Maintain, coordinate and enhance contacts with research institutes and experts (universities, forest holdings).
Explore traditional knowledge, document it and make it accessible (private archive).
Further develop the reservation continuously and professionally. *
Share experience and results via publications and exchange with interest group.
Generation of public and environmental awareness

Generate a biological and ecological understanding for trees and bushes using the Süntel-
